An Early Glimpse at Battlestone
A few months ago I shared the exciting news that the November Software team joined Zynga to work on Battlestone, a new mobile arcade action game.
We recently rolled out the game in select markets, and it won’t be long before it’s available more broadly. In the meantime, here’s a quick glimpse of what to expect. Battlestone has advanced a long way from its initial concept, but we’ve stayed true to our original vision: bring players a brand new, more accessible way to enjoy an action RPG game.
An intuitive control system anchors the game, where players can defeat enemies and bosses with a simple swipe of the finger. Selecting multiple targets strings together over-the-top attack combinations to fend off hordes of enemies. You’ll also have to fend off other players thanks to the addition of guilds and weekly PVP tournaments.
As you advance through different areas a character collection system unlocks, allowing you to summon and upgrade heroes with unique abilities. Players develop their gameplay strategy here, swapping out different heroes for just the right combat environment and opponents.
For anyone that remembers the initial look of Golden Arrow, our first concept, you’ll see that we’ve taken the game’s aesthetic to a new level. The team has crafted beautiful 3D environments that immediately immerse players into the world of Battlestone. Combined with some incredible visual effects during combat, there are plenty of “wow” moments for you to show off to your friends.
