FarmVille 2: Country Escape – Built By You, For You
It’s also exciting for all of us at Zynga who have been with FarmVille and FarmVille 2 since the beginning. Personally, FarmVille has been my home away from home since I joined Zynga. I’ve had the privilege of leading the original FarmVille team in various roles for the last three years – most recently as general manager. And today as general manager of FarmVille 2: Country Escape, the entire team and I are honored to bring you a brand new mobile experience from a franchise that has already reached more than 400 million players worldwide.
There’s a common thread that binds the original FarmVille to the mobile experience you’ll see today. It’s that both games have been and will continue to be inspired by player feedback. Our primary goal in FarmVille 2: Country Escape was to listen and create a mobile experience designed for the way today’s player wants to connect to their farms and to their friends.
Whether you enjoy playing FarmVille to escape from life’s hectic routine, master your game, connect with friends or fulfill a competitive edge, FarmVille 2: Country Escape offers something for you. Here are just a few of the ways your valuable insights have helped shape what FarmVille 2: Country Escape is today.
A New Mobile Experience Inspired by FarmVille 2
We know that consumers play games differently on their phones and tablets than they do on the web. That’s why FarmVille 2: Country Escape was built from the ground up to be a brand new mobile experience. We’ve redesigned crop timers, animal interactions, touch controls and the game board to deliver a satisfying play session whether you have 2 minutes in line at the store or 30 minutes at home on the couch. While the design for mobile is new, the world will feel very familiar. The game is based on the charming and nostalgic world of FarmVille 2. You’ll find familiar characters, crops and animals throughout the game along with new surprises we know you’ll love. Best of all, if you happen to be a loyal FarmVille 2 player on Facebook, we have something special in store. We’ve included a deep, Connected Rewards system which allows you to transfer valuable goods – like water and sugar – between mobile and web farms.
Play With Friends or On Your Own with New Social Control Features
A key piece of feedback we’ve heard is that you want more control over how you play with friends in the game. So, in FarmVille 2: Country Escape we’ve left it up to you to decide how and when you want to play with friends. For the first time ever in FarmVille, you can enjoy a single player experience in Anonymous Mode – harvesting crops, tending animals, completing quests, selling goods and playing at your own pace without requiring help from friends and neighbors. For the more socially inclined, you can connect directly from GameCenter or Google Play Games Services to collaborate with fellow farmers and trade goods. You can also connect to Facebook to access all available social features, visit Facebook friends’ farms and share valuable “Speed Seed” with friends to accelerate progress.
Collaborate and Compete with Farm Co-Ops
Mastery and competition is a big part of FarmVille 2, so in FarmVille 2: Country Escape we’ve added more ways for players to team up together, help each other out and even compete. Create and join Farm Co-Ops to share Helping Hands, chat with friends directly in the game, and compete for the most thriving Co-Op on the global leaderboard.
Farm On the Go in Offline Mode
Another player inspired feature is the ability to play on the go without requiring access to the Internet. You asked, and we listened. Marking a first for FarmVille, you can now play the game offline with no Internet connection needed.
On behalf of the Zynga family I’d like to thank you, our loyal players, for your dedication over the years and for the inspiration that went into making FarmVille 2: Country Escape. We hope that you have as much fun playing the game as we’ve had in developing it. And in keeping with the FarmVille tradition, we can’t wait to hear your feedback and look forward to shaping a new generation of FarmVille on mobile together.
